Well, it looks like everyone's favorite form of communication went offline today, sending our radio station office into a complete and total panic. HOW ON EARTH WILL THEY SEE MY CAT PICTURES NOW?

According to The Verge, the outage happened just as Facebook's Antigone Davis was live on television, defending the company over some crazy whistleblower accusations, as well as tackling the idea of whether or not Instagram was harmful to teens.

I must admit that I was a bit unsettled by losing for Zuckerberg apps, even for just a moment. I noticed immediately, as I use them to mine for material for articles like this one. Lo and behold, today, October 4th, 2021, we all had to figure out something better to do than look at someone's new baby or delete a cousin that got a little too mouthy and started saying that vaccines weren't important. Enough is enough, dumbass.

It only makes you wonder just how we would function if those sites were to completely disappear. When I was a kid, we weren't all stuck to them all the time because they just didn't exist. Even the preliminary stages of Facebook were nothing special, and yet here we are today, utterly baffled each time we click the refresh button. Is it my computer? Is it the internet? Unplugging and then plugging back in, cord after cord, wondering if you've completely lost your mind.

You weren't alone.

So far, they still aren't working. I think it's been a little over an hour now, and I'm starting to wonder if life will ever get back to normal. Are we destined to go outside and enjoy one another's company in real life? What a scary thought! Hopefully, things get back on the upswing soon or I will die from an attention deficit.
