New Wood-Fire, BYOB Pizza Restaurant to Open in Lubbock This Fall
Woody's Wood Fire Pizza and Grill is set to open Fall 2017 or sooner, according to a Facebook post on the former Legends Pizzeria Grill and Chill.
Legends is now closed because of "bad location, no sales" according to a Facebook response when a former customer inquired about their closing. Legends was located at 5015 University #11A.
According to their Facebook page as of 1/25/2017:
OUR NEW LOCATION WILL BE BREAKFAST, LUNCH, DINNER, AND BYOB AFTER 5PM
Will have city wide delivery, catering menu, and a better selection on our new menu
Any locations or buildings that are restaurant ready and around 2000 square feet let us know.
We are ready to get back to making lubbocks best pizza and food again.
As for me, I really do like BYOB establishments, as it allows me to drink whatever I like without incurring a massive bar tab. BushHog's is a great example of this.
It appears that the owners are still scouting a restaurant-ready location for lease and are currently taking suggestions on their Facebook page. No, they don't want the old Grandy's. I think that place might be haunted.
