36-year-old Shonn Glenn Shepard of Lubbock was arrested on Thursday, July 16th after he allegedly assaulted a Citibus driver with a 2x4 piece of wood.

KAMC News reports that Shepard became upset when he was asked to wear a face mask while on the bus. After he was asked, he gathered his belongings as if to exit, but then is said to have struck the driver.

Shepard was then ordered to get off the bus, which he did, but it's said he then came back with a 2x4 and broke multiple mirrors and windows on the bus. He apparently also approached the driver side window and shattered it.

When police arrived at around 2:30 p.m., Shepard attempted to run. When officers caught him, they found him with the 2x4 covered in what appeared to be fresh blood.

Damage to the Citibus was estimated at $2,500 and Shepard is currently in the Lubbock County Detention Center on bonds totaling $31,000.
