Stella's is a legendary Lubbock restaurant. So many of us celebrated life events over a bowl of their famous lobster ravioli or drowned our sorrows in their fluffy, rich cheesecake. I've told many secrets and made many promises after a few of their incredible martinis, the chocolate being the absolute best. It's so good that they sign their name in syrup atop the delicious foam brimming the glass.

I was very sad to see them go from their original Lubbock location at 4646 50th Street about one year ago, but I am thrilled to see what the new location will look like and feel like.

Stella's offers something very rare in Lubbock: authentic Italian food by way of New York City. From their website:

The original Stella’s was founded in Suffern, New York, in 1973 by Billy’s mother, Stella Rizzo. She opened her Deli on Airmont Road and featured the finest cuts of meat, fresh breads and Italian family recipes. Over the years, she perfected the art of authentic New York Italian cuisine.
