Lubbock's Chrome is now (re)open at their new location, 6701 Slide Road, in the former Rooms 2 Go building.

The fashion and lifestyle retailer announced their July 31st opening on their Instagram page:

Come experience a new look and something very special...
Directional, elevated, and always leading — our new location is NOW OPEN!! With our guests and staff in mind, we will continue to be fully committed to making our store a safe space and limiting the number of guests inside. When we reach our set capacity, the avg wait time is usually about ten minutes, and it’s first come, first serve (unless you have an appointment)! We appreciate your care & consideration and can’t wait to see you!!

I'll be the first to admit that I've been a Chrome fan girl since they were located in the South Plains Mall back when dinosaurs ruled the earth (or the early 2000s -- you decide). After their stint at the mall, Chrome moved into the historic Godbold building across from Texas Tech, where they remained for many years until this recent move.

I cannot wait to see the inside of the store. The folks who own Chrome are wildly creative with their merchandising; everything is always so beautifully and enticingly arranged.

In case you are unfamiliar with Chrome, they carry on-trend clothing and accessories for men and women, stylish housewares, and a wide assortment of tasteful gifts for the "humbly hip" folks in your life. Think: Free People, Steve Madden, etc. (Well, I picked up Free People and Steve Madden the last time I was there. Whatever they have in stock now is guaranteed to be the hottest fashions now.)

Congrats Chrome, and here's to many more years of elevating Lubbock's style.
