Three young girls started singing on the Cactus Theatre stage when they were around four years old and now, at the ripe old ages of 9 and 10, they have become regional celebrities as "Avery and the Calico Hearts". And I predict the three, Avery Winter, Brooklyn Elbert and Kassidy King, will soon reach national and international status. The trio auditioned for NBC TV's "America's Got Talent" in Houston and judges were so impressed they sent them on to compete in Las Vegas. Now, the judges have boosted them to competition in Hollywood.

I've worked on stage with all three of these girls and most recently with Avery who starred as Brenda Lee in the Cactus productions of "Minnie's Pearls" and "Minnie's Pearls Two". They all equally shine on stage with their talent, stage presence and stunning maturity. And some credit has to go to their parents and their support, and of course to their musical director/teacher Terri Caldwell. I've seen their incredible teamwork firsthand. Here's a video of their Las Vegas competition. After watching this, look out, it appears the world is their oyster!
