A recent report released by CNBC shows the safest and the most dangerous cities in the nation with a population of 150,000 or more. Lubbock made the most dangerous list, based on annual fatalities in the last five years.The average for the Hub City was 14.97 per 100,000 residents. That puts us at #10 on the list. There were ten cities named as the safest in the country. From least safe to safest, they are: Jersey City, N.J.; Omaha, Neb; St. Paul, Minn.; Aurora, Ill.; Lincoln, Neb.; Spokane, Wash.; Rochester, N.Y.; Moreno Valley, Calif.; Vancouver, Wash.; and Arlington, Va. with only 0.48 driving deaths per 100,000 residents.
