A local Lubbock company is stepping up for the second year in a row to offer free air conditioner tune-ups for Lubbock teachers and education workers for their Helping Heroes Campaign right now.

"We just want to do our part to help people," said Matt Hadley, president of Bruce Thornton A/C & Plumbing. "This campaign is a small way we can support those who prepare and protect our children in the places they learn. Our amazing teachers and education workers go to extreme lengths to keep our children safe and enrich their lives. More than ever that makes them heroes to our families and our community. And where would this world be without heroes?"

If you don't fit in that category, they're also offering a $50 discount on tune-ups for other Lubbock-area homeowners.

Bruce Thornton A/C & Plumbing has been part of the Lubbock community for more than 50 years and employs more than 100 people in the area to respond quickly to customers’ needs.

Checking on a home’s air conditioning system before summer is a smart way to help beat the heat. According to the U.S. Department of Energy, “neglecting necessary maintenance ensures a steady decline in air conditioning performance while energy use steadily increases.”

The free tune-ups and discounts are available right now and ends on April 8th, 2022. You can find out more information on their website under the Helping Heroes Campaign or fill out the form here to contact them.
