A great event for a good cause and yummy food at the Jones AT&T Stadium is coming back to Lubbock.

This “Chopped” inspired competition within Jones AT&T Stadium this spring is once again open to the public.

A group of volunteer Chefs from around Lubbock including the Club’s very own Chef Elijah Escalante will be competing to create the best dish using only ingredients that would come in a South Plains Food Bank box. With a panel of judges, including 2023-winning Chef Jada Morrow, coming together to decide a winner, the second annual Showdown at the Jones will not be the event to miss! Ticket holders can enjoy meeting the competing chefs, mingling with judges and trying samples of the creations each Chef made.

The South Plains Food Bank, Inc. is a humanitarian resource responsible for securing, growing, processing and distributing food to charitable organizations and people in need. The South Plains Food Bank, Inc. also strives to provide opportunities for people to break out of the poverty cycle.
