Garth Brooks, a megastar and the number one selling solo artist in U.S. history is truly a great and sweet guy. Here at Lonestar 99.5, we had the wonderful opportunity to interview the one and only country legend.

As Lubbock prepares for his concert here on April 1st, the country music legend gave us some good insight into what we can expect at his show and a real sense of the heart and soul that is Garth Brooks.

Brooks showed how incredibly humble and genuine he is throughout the interview. When I pointed out his generous donation to St. Jude (he contributed $20 from every one of his Box Sets sold through Christmas to the group's research hospital), Brooks quickly refocused on a wonderful appreciation of the Ryman Auditorium and Lonestar 99.5 FM morning show host Bobby Bones.

Brooks passionately shared his love for hearing the audience sing back to him. He's dedicated and humbled by his audiences and his fans. It's all part of what makes Garth and his show so great and such an irresistible draw.

Tickets for Garth Brooks' April 1st concert at United Supermarkets Arena are one price and go on sale Friday, January 27th at 10 a.m. sharp, only at axs.com/garth.

He tends to sell out shows in record time, so if you want to buy tickets you need to pre-register on that site before the tickets go on sale. Tickets are $74.98 with an 8 ticket limit.
