Legacy of Love Hospice, currently in Littlefield will be moving their home base to Lubbock after the first of the year according to Jade Woodard the Community Educator for Legacy of Love Hospice.

"We give end of life care...we find resources for people who need sitters, somebody to come into the home and sit with them because they're not safe by themselves, we also find funds for people to make sure that they have everything they need for funeral expenses...we also get volunteers to come in and visit with our patients, we donate clothes, we have activities...we try to be involved with our community as far as our veterans and our elderly people." Woodard said. "Our goal is to service those rural outside areas that may not have access to care like us in the city."

I had the wonderful opportunity to meet some of the Legacy of Love Hospice team at the Veteran's Day Parade and they were terrific! It's so good to know that they are available to help those in need and will soon be moving here to Lubbock.

They told me they are looking to expand their volunteer base, so now may be the perfect time to reach out to them if you have time to volunteer. You can follow this link to their facebook page for more information or cal them at 806-385-9329.
