Wetzel is known for being an artist that thinks outside of the box. His website says, "Some artists break the rules. Koe Wetzel breaks pretty much all of them" You probably know him from his songs "Drunk Driving" released in 2020 and "February 28, 2016" released in 2017.
Wetzel grew up in Pittsburg, Texas, and began his musical journey alongside his mother in the Opry circuit. While his mother toured singing county music, his father would jam to hip-hop artists like Tupac and 50 Cent. Wetzel also gained a love for alternative rock as her grew older.
All of this musical influence is notable in his work. Wetzel has a hard rock vibe with a country twang that brings a sound unlike most musicians. He debuted with his album Noise Complaint, and followed that release with his albums Harold Saul High and Sellout.
Koe Wetzel is all about being yourself and doing what makes you happy. He hopes that others can identify with him and his music. The connection between song and listener is important to him. He states, "whatever you're going through, I want to help you go through it."
