NFL QB Joe Burrow Causes a Stir with His Opinion on Country Music

If you see Joe Burrow with his headphones on, it's a pretty safe bet that he's not listening to country music. At a media session during the Cincinnati Bengals' mandatory workouts, the NFL quarterback says the genre is at the bottom of his list.

"I'm kind of all over the place," he says. "I'll listen to some indie, I'll listen to some hip-hop, some pop."

"I'll listen to just about anything, but country," he continues. "I'm not a country guy."

Fans flooded the replies, with some agreeing with the former LSU standout's opinion.

"Glad to hear Joe Burrow shares my main two allergies: country and western," one fan writes, with another chiming in with, "Joe Burrow and I fell the exact same way about music and especially about country music."

Others jumped in to counter his remark.

"Speaking from experience, the problem here is that Joe Burrow is listening to the wrong country music," someone else replies.

"We have an issue," one fan wrote with another saying simply, "Almost perfect."

The topic arose while discussing his upcoming break from team workouts. With Taylor Swift making a stop in Cincinnati on her Eras Tour at the end of the month, Burrow was asked if he would be in the crowd like fellow quarterback Aaron Rogers was recently.

"You know, I — uh — I have a lot of respect for what Taylor Swift has done with her career. I can't say that I'm listening to too much Taylor Swift on the speakers in the headphones. I know a lot of people that are, but that's just not me," he explains.

"I've heard the tour is a lot of fun though, maybe I'll stop by," he adds.
