Edgar Allan Poe was an American writer, poet, author, editor, and literary critic who is best known for his poetry and short stories, particularly his tales of mystery and the macabre.
Visitors can hear Edgar Allan Poe’s work reimagined while sipping on cocktails paired with each story. It is a four-part interactive show and drink experience spotlighting the author's most famed works.
Edgar Allan Poe historians will bring his Gothic writing to life through captivating retellings of The Raven, Masque of Red Death, The Tell-Tale Heart and The Black Cat complete with libations, of course. Throughout the experience, a skilled mixologist will shake up four signature cocktails to pair with each tale, such as “The Raventini,” making sure that each drink is as deliciously decadent as the next.
An Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy is set to come to the Hub City from May 23 through 25 at the Bella Vie Wedding Venue & Event Center located at 13603 Slide Road, Lubbock, 79424.
Tickets for the hour-and-a-half event can be purchased for $48 to $55 depending on the day and time. The speakeasy will host three events each night.
You must be 21+ to attend the event. It will take about an hour and a half. Mocktails and allergy substitutes can be made upon request with your server.
