A sweet little kitten was heroically rescued in the Hub City yesterday, August 24th, 2023, after becoming totally stuck with no safe way to get down from a Marsha Sharp overpass. This baby is very lucky to have been spotted by onlookers who made it their mission to get it back on the ground with the help of Lubbock Animal Services, the Lubbock Police Department, and Lubbock Fire and Rescue.

Updates on the situation were posted across the internet, and for a minute there, it was pretty tense. I was on the edge of my seat, friends. I'm quite the kitty-lover!

Take a peek at the video below, and make sure your sound is turned on. You can faintly hear the poor baby crying for some much-needed help:

Luckily, everyone came together to get this little baby to safety! Thank you, guys! You really saved the day! Check out the gallery below of the action. It turns out, the kitten is a little lady. She was fittingly named "Marsha".

Thank goodness you guys all came to the rescue. You rule! Lubbock can be pretty awesome sometimes. In fact, not long ago, another kitty was rescued from the top of a telephone poll by Lubbock Power & Light. If you missed that story, click here to check it out!

Keep being rad, Lubbock! And don't forget to spay and neuter your pets!
