Spirit May Have Lost A Lubbock Location

This one really bums me out, because it may mean we're down to two Spirit Halloween stores in Lubbock.

I was personally very excited about the Spirit Halloween store that was supposed to be located in the former CVS on 50th Street in Lubbock. I was looking forward to just breathing in that fresh latex every time I left Market Street. Well, apparently, the location across from Monterey High School is no more.

I received a tip that the store location had fallen through, so I went to verify it myself. Sure enough, all of the “coming soon” and “now hiring” signs had been removed, and the place was completely empty inside. It had both a sadness and a terrifying “Backrooms” kind of vibe to it.

Spirit Halloween Trucks Are Already Rolling Into Lubbock

Here’s the big rub: the trucks for Spirit Halloween stores have already started arriving in Lubbock, and it may be too late to even find a third location. If that’s true, you’ll still be able to get all of your Halloween supplies, but the stores will probably be very crowded.

I am told there may be a Hail Mary pass underway to find another location, but if I were a betting person, I’d tell you there’s no way they could secure a spot in time.

So, for those of you who think we get started “too soon” on Halloween, we may already be “too late.”
