Lubbock, Texas is home to one of the most credible U.F.O. sightings in history. So was it U.F.O.s or something else? The witnesses say it was "something else".

People in Lubbock, Texas have no problem seeing the stars, and they have no problem speaking out. That was the case in 1951 when four professors from Texas Tech (then "Texas Technical College") saw 15-30 bluish-green lights in the sky.

The lights were spotted flying in a formation, which leads to one possible explanation. One outside expert claims the lights were birds (known as plovers). The four professors claim that the movement and speed was not that of birds.

With all due respect to the "outside expert" the formation just looks a little too well organized to be birds. While we've all seen birds in formations, it's never quite as neat and organized as the photographic evidence.

Is There A Connection Between The Lubbock Lights and the Roswell UFO Legacy?

Having this incident happen just four years after the Roswell incident could be seen two ways, #1, that folks still had U.F.O.s on the brain and were more prone to misidentify things, or #2, the U.F.O.s were actually in the area during that period of time. Lubbock is only 175 miles from Roswell.

So how afraid should you be that these were U.F.O.s? Well, these lights were described as the size of dinner plates, and unless they were attached to something larger, any possible aliens inside would probably be the size of a children's doll (people tend to not think about that part).

Adding to the mystery are the men who say that the photographs differ from what they saw. They claim they saw a "U" shape, while the photographer captured a "V". To this day, the Lubbock Lights are still a mystery.
