Its Only Taken 39 Days For 80 Children To Go Missing In Texas
Our attention has been drawn to the coronavirus outbreak for the past month, as it should be due to the seriousness of the pandemic plaguing the world. Unfortunately, there's another issue plaguing the state of Texas that's seem to go by the wayside; that's the number of children reported missing.
According to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, there are 80 children reported missing since the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdowns took over communities beginning March 1.
That's a scary number to me. 80. Some of these children are the center of Amber Alerts, while others have no leads at the time of this writing.
It's up to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children to make sure these children's faces stay in the public eye in the hopes that someone will recognize a child and reunite them with their family.
Here's your turn to take a moment and see if you recognize any of these faces.
If you do, please contact your local law enforcement, or the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children through its hotline at 1-800-843-5678.
