Camping bases his claim on mathematical calculations and has taken out billboards across the nation, including Lubbock, proclaiming the end of the world. Camping says a major earthquake will occur on May 21, 2011. He tells the Associated Press, "The rest of the world will know instantly that the world is ending because they will be able to witness the events."
