There is a new date for this big show. Jason Boland & The Stragglers are set to play the historic Cactus Theater Thursday, August 6th according to their website.

This 20th-anniversary concert celebration was originally set for Friday, April 10th, but had to be postponed due to COVID-19 restrictions. We are very glad to see that this tremendous show is rescheduled and will be circling back around to take the stage for us here in Lubbock.

Concerts at the Cactus Theater are always special and this one will certainly be unforgettable. It's a throwback and a momentous anniversary for the legendary Jason Boland and the Stragglers.

So if you missed the show in April here is your second chance. This is sure to be a full house, and tickets from the original show on April 10th will be honored, according to their website.

This is the 20th anniversary year of their debut album 'Pearl Snaps', an incredible album that carved out a solid place in history for this break-out group. They are touring the nation and playing that album all the way through for us. Classic, gritty, and powerful they are still focused on a humble mission. This tremendous quote from their bio on the Cactus Theater site speaks to that.

"We’re just trying to make something that we’re proud of,” lead songwriter and vocalist Boland says. “If any more people want to take notice of it, they’re welcome.”

Let's make plans to circle round for this second chance to see this iconic group. Jason Boland & the Stragglers take the stage at 7:30 pm. You can follow this link to the Cactus Theater site for tickets and details.

The historic Cactus Theater is located at 1812 Buddy Holly Avenue in the Depot District.
