On Sunday, August 15th, new licenses for the 2021-2022 hunting season in Texas will be on sale.

In a news release, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department reminded hunters that current year Texas hunting and fishing licenses expire at the end of August, with the exception of the Year-from-Purchase All-Water Fishing Package.

You can purchase a variety of licenses through the official TPWD website here, by calling 1-800-895-4248 or by visiting any of the 1,800+ retailers in the State of Texas. License buyers are encouraged to use the expedited checkout process, as it speeds up re-purchasing the same license bought in recent years.

You can access your past and current licenses via an electronic photo of the license, an emailed receipt of purchase, your account in the online license sales system, or by using the License Lookup in the Outdoor Annual App or in the My Texas Hunt Harvest App.

Hunters and anglers can also purchase an entry into the Lifetime License Drawing when buying their licenses. 3 winners will win a Lifetime Super Combo License and will never need to buy a Texas hunting or fishing license ever again. Entries are $5 each and can be purchased the same way you would purchase your license. The entry deadline is September 30th.
