Lubbock Grand Jury Indicts Hollis Daniels for Capital Murder in Campus Cop Shooting
Wednesday, November 1st, 19-year-old Hollis Daniels III, was indicted by a grand jury in Lubbock for capital murder.
So far there's no word as to whether or not prosecuters will seek the death penalty, according to Everything Lubbock.
Daniels was arrested on campus for drug possession on Monday, October 9th by officer Floyd East, Jr. and several other officers with the Texas Tech campus police. Once at the station Daniels and Officer East were left alone in a room together. It was then that Daniels reportedly shot officer East.
Daniels used a gun he had stolen the night before from a friend who had called in the stolen handgun and listed Daniels as a suspect. Daniels later confessed to shooting and killing Officer East.
