Here’s Where to Find Lonestar 99.5’s Free Ice Cream Pop-Ups

We want to help cool you off on these hot summer days and thank you for listening, so we're rolling out the Lonestar 99.5 truck with a cooler full of Blue Bell Ice Cream to give away to you at some very special locations around town.

Make plans to stop by for a free cup of delicious Blue Bell Ice Cream. You just need to pay attention to where we'll be and what time we'll be there. We're super excited to bring you this fabulous free ice cream treat from Blue Bell.

Here's what you need to know:

We will be in the parking lot at Williams Brake Tune and Tire at 311 19th Street in Lubbock from 1-1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 19th, 2020.

You hear us talking to Larry Williams, the owner of Williams Brake Tune and Tire on Wednesday afternoons. He always has a terrific tip to help us get through any kind of car trouble. They have been a longstanding part of the Lubbock community and we know we can always count on them to help us fix our vehicles with the very best service. So make plans to come out for our free ice cream giveaway with the great team at Williams Brake Tune and Tire. When you come to get your ice cream you can pay them a visit or just give them a big wave and thumbs up through their shop's front window. It's great to know they're always here for us.

We'll also be in the parking lot at Wilbanks Vacuum Center at 2149 50th Street in Lubbock from 1-1:30 p.m. on Friday, August 21st, 2020.

Wilbanks Vacuum Center is celebrating 47 years in Lubbock and has been here to make sure our vacuums work efficiently with tremendous quality service for our old vacuums or the help we need to find the perfect new vacuum. Wilbanks is dedicated to our Lubbock community and wants to help in our full recovery when we need our vacuums the most. So plan to join us Friday at Wilbanks Vacuum Center. When you come to get your ice cream, you can pay them a visit or just give them a big wave and thumbs up through their shop's front window. It's great to know they're always here for us.

The creamery was founded by the Brenham family in Brenham, Texas in 1907 and they began delivering ice cream by horse and buggy in the 1930s. They are named Blue Bell after our native Texas wildflower and they make the very best ice cream anywhere. Here's some of their amazing story from their website:
