So excited to finally announce that Jimenez Tortilleria y Taqueria is opening soon in Lubbock, Texas.

We told y'all back in January that they were set to open up on 34th Street. Now, they have a date.

Their grand opening will be on February 21st, 2022 and they're ready to serve the community with yummy homemade food. They will be open from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., Mondays through Sundays, but it will be takeout only.

While the menu hasn't been released yet, it should be sometime this week. You'll just have to keep an eye out. We'll let you know when it happens. I did get a little sneak peek before everyone else to try their tortillas and other treats. Here are my thoughts, plus some food pictures I took for my Ate06 Facebook page.

Jimenez Tortilleria y Taqueria will be serving up homemade corn tortillas, burritos, tacos, lunch plates, baked goods and much more. They took over the Gigi’s Tortilleria that recently closed down located on 4606 34th Street. Now, the same Flores family who helped run the Jimenez bakery in downtown Lubbock back in the day is taking over and opening it back up.

You can find out more about them and their new location on Instagram or Facebook and keep up to date with what's coming next.
