In a press conference held Friday, March 20th, City of Lubbock confirmed two new positive coronavirus cases.

The fourth overall case is said to be someone between the ages of 30 and 40 and was discovered through an investigation of case no. 3.

The fifth case is said to be someone between 15 and 25 years of age. The investigation into this case is currently ongoing, but a list of locations determined to be at risk has been provided:

  • Walmart at Frankford Avenue and Loop 289
  • Hobby Lobby at 76th Street
  • Market Street at 19th Street and Quaker
  • Dollar General at 34th Street
  • Sunset Church of Christ

Earlier in the day, before the press conference, the Lubbock County Commissioner's Court voted unanimously to extend the county's disaster declaration until 11:59 p.m. on April 3rd.
