Recently, I drove to Oklahoma. Okay, that's a misnomer, I rode to Oklahoma in the backseat. Part of the fun of that trip is being able to see the legendary 6666 ranch from the highway. It's located in Guthrie, Texas, and it's on the way if you're headed to the Choctaw casino.

The 6666 ranch is surrounded by miles of brick-red fencing, huge buildings emblazoned with the 6666 brand and even their own air strip. Their horses and cows were grazing elsewhere, sadly. I'm always hoping to see horses and cows.

6666 ranch was recently all over the news, as it sold to the producer/ writer of the wildly popular "Yellowstone" TV show.

Of course, you can always see an iconic 6666 building here in Lubbock- its the center piece of The National Ranching Heritage Center (3121 4th St). The building has informative barbwire displays, and importantly; it also houses the bathrooms.

Today I was able to hold a piece of the 6666 ranch in my hands, as they are launching their own line of beers and Ranch Waters. If you'll be in Plano September 1st, you can even go to the launch party.

The product is so new that details on their website are so far scarce, but I learned today that they offer a Hazy IPA, a Texas Pilsner and an Amber Lager, in addition to four flavors of Ranch Water.

Amber Lager - Full bodied Marzen style Amber Lager with Noble hops

Texas Pilsner - Traditional American Pilsner with Saas hops

Hazy IPA – Traditional Texas Ale brewed with blood orange

[Ranch Waters are] Blue Agave and Lime

Blue Agave, Prickly Pear Margarita

Blue Agave, Blackberry and Pomegranate Blue Agave, Mango and Spicy Habanero

I also learned that their beers and Ranch Waters will be at my favorite place to shop- Market Street beginning August 29th. Market Street was kind enough to bring us some cans today, I can't wait for 5 p.m.!
