With the spring break and summer travel season ramping up over the next few months after a few dormant years due to the pandemic, there have been multiple reports of amusement park accidents and incidents lately. We're just now learning of one such incident out of Arlington at Six Flags Over Texas that several people were injured and rushed to area hospitals.

One employee was injured and four guests requested transportation to a local hospital out of an abundance of caution after an electrical malfunction at Six Flags Over Texas.

According to NBCDFW, the malfunction occurred inside the rollercoaster ride, Mr. Freeze: Reverse Blast shortly after 6:30 p.m. when smoke was reported coming from inside the building. Both the parks safety team and Arlington Fire Department responded to the scene.

All guests and team members safely exited the ride station within minutes though one employee remains treated for the aforementioned minor injury and the guests were treated out of an abundance of caution according to the report.

This Incident Comes On The Heels Of Several Incidents Including the death of 14 year Old In Florida.

In the last few weeks, we've seen several reports of incidents all across the country at theme parks. Just a few weeks ago, Tyree Sampson fell to his death from the “Orlando Free-Fall” ride at ICON Park about halfway down its 400-foot descent.

A Power Outage At Universal Studios Hollywood Left Riders Stranded.

11 people had to be rescued from a "Transformers" ride that stalled in a power outage on April 7th. Thankfully, no one was injured and the riders were evacuated to safety. In my opinion, looks like these parks need to get their equipment fully functional after roughly 2 years of not working regularly.
