The one and only Dwight Yoakam will join a growing roster of performers to play Lubbock's fancy new venue.

The country music legend will take the stage at The Buddy Holly Hall of Performing Arts and Sciences on Thursday, October 21st, 2021 for a night any classic country fan won't want to miss. Tickets for Dwight Yoakam's Lubbock show will go on sale Friday, April 23rd at 10 a.m. (CT).

Yoakam is the latest major artist to announce a show at the Buddy Holly Hall, which is quickly becoming a must-play venue. The last time Yoakam played in Lubbock was 2018 when he performed at the Lubbock Municipal Auditorium. During the show, the country star paid tribute to fellow country icon Merle Haggard and played some of his biggest hits.

According to a press release from the Buddy Holly Hall, Yoakam has seen 14 singles hit Billboard's Top 10 throughout his impressive 40-plus-year career. Not content with writing some of country music's most beloved songs, Yoakam is also an actor who's appeared in more than 40 films. Most people know him best from Panic Room, where he played a no-nonsense burglar named Raoul alongside Oscar-winning stars Jared Leto and Forest Whitaker, and Doyle, the man Billy Bob Thornton's Karl kills with a lawnmower blade in a chilling scene in the Oscar-winning film, Sling Blade.

Tickets to the Dwight Yoakam show will be available starting Friday, April 23rd online at the Buddy Holly Hall's official website, by phone at (806) 792-8339 or at The Buddy Holly Hall's box office (1300 Mac Davis Lane), Monday through Friday from noon to 4 p.m.
