Original story: Charlese "Olive" Ingram of Lamesa, Texas was found dead Thursday (April 5), according to her mother. The teenager was reported missing after disappearing from her home Tuesday night.

The Dawson County Sheriff's Office issued the following press release just before 6pm on Thursday evening:

On Wednesday April 4, 2018 The Dawson County Sheriff s Office was notified of a possible runaway at 1806 CR 19. Charlese Ingram, a 16 year old, white, female, was reported missing by her mother. Charlese was last seen earlier in the evening and was reported missing around 2:30am. On Thursday, April 5, 2018 around 11:10am Charlese's body was discovered just east of the residence in the edge of a field. Charlese was found deceased from what appeared to be self inflicted wounds. The investigation is still on-going at this time.


Regina Ingram wrote on her Facebook page Thursday afternoon that her daughter "is no longer with us." Ingram asked friends and family to "please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we try to make it thru this difficult time."

KFYO News reached out to the Dawson County Sheriff's Office and spoke with Chief Deputy Josh Peterson, who confirmed the mother's account.

Charlese was listed as a missing person by the Dawson County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday, according to her mother. Initially, the teen was listed as a BOLO/runaway.
