Here are some Christmas lights that would make Jeff Foxworthy proud. These are "Redneck Xmas Lights" that are being sold by an eighth grader, Avery Joyner, in Ravalli, Montana to raise money for a trip to Washington, D.C. Her father, artist Tim Joyner, came up with the idea of using colorful used shotgun shells over a string of colorful Christmas lights. This site reports they cleaned the shells in the dishwasher and started stringing them over the lights, not knowing what the response would be. It's been great. The teen has raised about $1,400 of the $1,895 she needs for the trip. The lights sell for $10 for a 7-foot string and $20 for a 20-foot string. Orders and more information can be obtained by emailing Avery at jentimjoyner@msn.com. Think it's time for a little 'redneck' Christmas music. How about Jeff Foxworthy's classic hit? Gotta love it.
