Lubbock Police Discover Missing Girl Safe at Friend’s Home

A young girl who went missing outside her family's home in Lubbock Friday night has been found safe.

According to the Lubbock Police Department, 9-year-old Azyria Jones was reported missing Friday night by her parents. Jones was last seen riding her bicycle outside her home.

Saturday morning while canvassing the neighborhood, officers discovered Jones at a home in her neighborhood. They said the girl had met a young girl that was her age the day she went missing and stayed the night with her.

Jones is back with her parents.
