Coming up this week is the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women luncheon to learn more about heart disease and it's prevention. About 400 women, all wearing red, usually show up for this event which is targeted to women because more women die of heart disease than all forms of cancer combined. It's the number one killer of women with 90% of women having one or more risk factors for developing heart disease.

The association's facts show that heart disease is often silent, hidden and misunderstood. Celebs like Emmy-nominated actress Elizabeth Banks have gotten involved in the event, starring in a film to be shown at the event. Find out more at the health fair starting at 9:30 a.m. followed by the luncheon and style show on Thursday, April 19 at the Overton Hotel and Conference Center.
