A New Made From Scratch Gelato & Sweets Place is Coming to Lubbock
Does anyone have a sugar craving that needs to be fixed? This new spot coming to Lubbock might do just that.
Amy is opening up a new dessert shop at Canyon West very soon. It will be called D'lish Sweets & Gelato and it has a great back story from where the name came from. Amy's mom would always bake for their loved ones and she would always say “it’s D’lish”. So since Amy says her "goal is to make tasty treats reminiscent of her childhood, it seems appropriate that this quaint word be the inspiration."
Amy has been baking all her life and is now ready to share her love and talent with the community. She graduated from Texas Tech and has been baking on the weekends. Now she is turning into a full-time job. She says she now gets to live her dream every day.
D'lish Sweets & Gelato will sell baked goods like cupcakes, brownies, and chocolate chip cookies. They will also sell homemade whoopie pie or cookies-n-cream rice Krispies treats and scratch-made artisan gelato.
Gelato was actually first created almost 500 years ago during the Italian Renaissance by Bernardo Buontalenti. Now D'lish Sweets & Gelato will be the only bakery in Lubbock to make gelato made from scratch.
While they are not open just yet, they hope to open the doors to the community in December 2022. You can find out more about them on their website. We can't wait to check them out at their location, 5017 Milwaukee Avenue, Suite 200, Lubbock, Texas. You can also call them at (806) 476-0079. They are still looking to hire some more people.
My sweet tooth is ready for you, D'lish Sweets & Gelato.
