6-Year-Old Lubbock Boy in Stable Condition After Being Shot in the Head
Josiah Villarreal, the 6-year-old boy who was shot in the head on Friday, November 15th, in Lubbock, was said to be in stable condition Monday.
Josiah's family says that he was sedated but moving when they spoke to him. The boy will be undergoing surgery next week.
One person has been arrested in relation to the shooting: 22-year-old Dezarey Marie Ramos. She is being held on a $500,000 bond.
KAMC News reports that Ramos was allegedly trafficking marijuana and methamphetamine and someone had stolen from her in a robbery. She believed a man who lived in the 5000 block of 30th Street was responsible, so she allegedly drove there with someone else, who fired 6 shots at the house. One of them struck Josiah in the head.
