10th Annual Big Blue Christmas Held on Lubbock Christian Campus
Lubbock Christian University will be hosting their annual holiday event to kickoff the holiday season. This year marks the 10th year that Lubbock Christian University will be hosting their Big Blue Christmas event on campus.
The theme for Big Blue Christmas this year is 'Welcome to Whoville', with Whoville being in the Baker Conference Center, where there will be many games, cookie decorating, and crafts themed after Dr. Seuss's 'the Grinch'. Near Whoville will be the Grinch's Lair where all who are brave enough to seek out the Grinch can take a picture with the Grinch himself. Aside from taking photos with the Grinch there will also be opportunities for families to take pictures with the man in red himself, Santa Claus, at the Christa Dobbs Center for Business until 6:30 p.m..
The Student Union Building will also be the home base for Seuss-Ville with more crafts, games, photo booth opportunities and even story time from LCU's School of Education. The heart of the campus will be decorated with various themes, the outside mall area will be decorated as the North Pole with various lights, games, and food trucks. There will be an opportunity for families to enjoy a Christmas dinner at the Lubbock Christian University campus cafeteria for just $7.25 for children ages 4-10 and $8.25 for adults, children under the age of 4 eat free.
There will also be Christmas Caroling performed by the LCU Choir, followed by the lighting of the campus Christmas tree. Big Blue Christmas will take place on Tuesday, November 29th, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
