The regular-season NFL MVP Award has been dominated by the quarterback since Adrian Peterson won the award in 2012. Lamar Jackson won is last season taking the reigns from Lubbock's favorite quarterback Patrick Mahomes.  According to the latest odds from oddshark.com, superstar QB Patrick Mahomes is the front-runner to regain the MVP crown in 2020.

Mahomes is the +500 favorite at BetOnline, with Jackson at +750, Russell Wilson at +900, Kyler Murray at +1000, Tom Brady at +1200, Dak Prescott at +1800, Deshaun Watson at +1800, Carson Wentz at +2000, Aaron Rodgers at +2200 and Drew Brees at +2200 rounding out the top 10.

All quarterbacks. Christian McCaffery is the first running back in the odds sitting as the 12th favorite at +2800.

Kyler Murray sitting at four is a bit surprising but sophomore quarterbacks have won back to back MVPs and Murray has a brand new number one wide receiver in DeAndre Hopkins which should power that Kliff Kingsbury offense nicely. It's not crazy to think that Murray could end the season showing off some hardware, but is his team good enough to follow along?

Another name that might be a good bet is Dak Prescott. A potent offense last season should ramp up under second-year offensive coordinator Kellen Moore. It should also be more aggressive without the clapper dampening the creativity in the gameplan.

Could the next MVP be a rookie? The first rookie in the odds is number one overall pick and new Cincinnati Bengal QB Joe Burrow sitting at odds of +6600.
