Worst. Easter Bunny. Ever. A parent dressed like the big bunny showed up to an elementary school in Austin and handed out Easter eggs with condoms inside.

I've seen the bumper stickers that say "Keep Austin Weird", but what this parent did is beyond weird.

Austin Easter Bunny

According to a report from KXAN, a parent showed up to Gullett Elementary School in the Austin Independent School District and was reportedly handing out Easter eggs - some filled with candy, and others filled with unopened condoms.

The parent was asked to leave the school property, but then started handing out the eggs from the sidewalk.

Not Part of The Plan

Gullett Elementary School Principal Tammy Thompson sent a letter to parents saying this was not planned or sanctioned, and school officials spoke with the parent about the “inappropriate nature of their activity.”  Here's what the letter sent home to parents read:

This afternoon during dismissal, a Gullett parent visited campus dressed as the Easter Bunny and handed out plastic eggs. Some of those eggs contained candy, and some students were also given unopened condoms.

Please know that this was not a planned event, nor sanctioned by the school, and we have spoken with the parent about the inappropriate nature of their activity. We value parent participation and always request that you work with campus staff to best support our students.

If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to contact me at 512-414-2082.

Thank you,

Principal Tammy Thompson

Another Austin Independent School District spokesperson said,

We are working to review our safety protocols to ensure this does not happen again. It was an incredibly careless and inappropriate action of a parent.

I'm pretty sure this isn't what they meant by "Keep Austin Weird."

This $170M Texas Ranch With 65,000 Acres Is a Dog Lover’s Dream Home

Mesa Vista, the 65,000-acre Panhandle ranch, which belonged to oil billionaire T. Boone Pickens until his death three years ago, has been up for sale since 2017. The list of mind-blowing amenities is long, but for the price it's quite a deal!

The property includes its own golf course, a chapel with a memory garden, an airport with a private apartment for the pilot, and a 40-unit kennel, complete with a bronze dog sculpture in front of the building. Pickens, who was an avid hunter and dog lover, told Land Report in 2015Back when I couldn’t afford one bird dog, I had two. When I couldn’t afford two, I had three.”

Let's take a look around this incredible piece of property, which was recently reduced from $250 to $170 million, and see what kind of luxuries you and your furry friends could enjoy!
