Haydon Wiginton spent a year in Stillwater, Oklahoma, before transferring back to Texas and coming to Lubbock to play for Texas Tech. The former Midlothian Heritage star comes back to Texas with more than just the hopes of cracking the wide receiver rotation for the Red Raiders. He also brought his guitar and a country music song in his heart.

Lucky for Wiginton, the stage at The Blue Light Live is a great platform to hone your skills as a performer. That's especially true on Monday nights as part of the bar's Songwriter Night.

Harrison Hanna, who posted the clip above, is the Red Raiders assistant director of operations & recruiting. It's pretty awesome he's out supporting a player who's chasing his dream.

Of course, Wiginton isn't the first Red Raider to chase his dreams of being a country music superstar; most of the rest just didn't also play football.
