What’s Next? Smokin’ Joe’s Old 34th Street Lubbock Location Is Demolished

Smokin' Joe's old second Lubbock location at 34th and Indiana was just completely demolished, and we have to wonder what's next.

We called Smokin' Joe's, still serving up takeout food at 2001 Clovis Road, and asked if they knew what was happening at their old location. The manager said she had wondered about the recent demolition as well, but had no information about what the future may hold for the location.

We will definitely keep an eye on it. Something must be in the works, and that's a pretty busy corner, so it may be anything from a parking lot to a new fast-food drive-thru to a store or anything in between. The only thing we know is that they apparently didn't want the old building there anymore.
