What Happened to Lubbock’s Chinese Kitchen?

Lubbock was shocked to find out that Chinese Kitchen closed without a warning. This restaurant has been serving Lubbock for more than 30 years.

The restaurant moved into their new location off Milwaukee Avenue back in September 2020 and had been a staple in Lubbock for a long time.

Back when I was working at a local Lubbock television station, I was able to interview them and loved their new location. It was very clean and had great food. I am shocked they closed their doors just like everyone else.

People noticed on December 1st, 2022 that the sign and drive-thru menu were missing so they took to social media to try to find answers.

We have reached out to their agency all week but have not heard back from them. We do know they are closed and people are really sad.

I will also miss their food and egg rolls. Google has also confirmed the sad news. You can see below that it is permanently closed.

Everyone was hoping that they were moving back to their old location on Slide Road because construction is going on there but sadly I think they are gone. Their website has also been taken done.

Chinese Kitchen may be gone but never forgotten. Thank you for all the love, yummy food and fun you gave to Lubbock. You will be missed.
