As if we Texas Tech fans didn't already have reason enough to love Patrick Mahomes, now the National Hockey League has a reason to love the former Texas Tech quarterback.

At Game 3 of the NHL Stanley Cup Finals, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback was caught on the jumbo-screen. And in classic Mahomes fashion, he took MVP in a new challenge which seems to be catching on with pro-athletes.

This time, it was "bottoms up" on display instead of the usual "Guns Up" for the youngest NFL quarterback to ever throw for 50 touchdowns in a season.

This followed the sad performance by Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, when he and teammate David Bakhtiari were recently at an NBA Milwaukee Bucks game:

Looks like all those years of training at Texas Tech University really did pay off. Way to keep making us proud, Patrick! #WreckEm
