"Vaqueros: Genesis of the Texas Cowboy" is a photography exhibit set to open Tuesday January 22nd at TTU's International Cultural Center according to Lubbock in the Loop.

Photos of Bill Wittliff will be featured together with a companion exhibit "The History of Beef Cattle Breeds" from the National Ranching Heritage Center.

In 1971 photographer Bill Wittliff had the unique opportunity to visit a working ranch in Mexico and capture photos of old school traditional cattle ranching. He was able to take some rare photos making this a very original and special collection.
