This week, The United Family is donating over 650 meals to Lubbock healthcare professionals working at Covenant Health and University Medical Center in an effort to help and encourage those who are essential to our medical community.

Healthcare workers can enjoy the freshly made ReadyMeals, box lunches, snack packs and cookies provided by United Supermarkets while working to keep our community safe and healthy.

On Wednesday, April 15th, United Supermarkets made two meal deliveries to healthcare workers at Covenant Medical Center, located near the 3500 block of Joliet Ave.

On Friday, April 17th, the healthcare workers at UMC will be able to enjoy donated United Supermarket meals as well, with two delivery times being provided by the local grocery family.

According to the press release from The United Family, meals are individually packaged and will be delivered in the cheerful blue United Supermarkets food truck for staff to deliver to healthcare workers inside the hospital.

The release goes on to include a message from The United Family CEO, Robert Taylor.

"We know those front line workers in the healthcare community are stressed and feeding their bodies is a good way for us to also feed their spirits," said Taylor. "We appreciate what they are contributing to fight this pandemic."
