The UIL released its updated alignment for all classifications this morning for football, basketball and volleyball. You can look at the full list here.

The new football districts have Frenship as the lone 6A progam in the Lubbock area and will slot them in District 2 with Amarillo Tascosa, Midland High, Midland Lee, Odessa and Odessa Permian.

Moving a down a class to 5A, Division 1, District 2, Lubbock High, Coronado and Monterey will join Abilene Cooper, Amarillo High, Amarillo Caprock and Amarillo Palo Duro.

Continuing to move down, class 5A, Division 2, District 3 sees Lubbock Cooper join Abilene Wylie, Canyon Randall, Plainview High, Wichita Falls and Wichita Falls Rider.

Dropping to 4A, Division 2, District 2 Lubbock Estacado will compete with Borger, Dalhart, Levelland and Perryton for a second straight district championship.

The most notable change from the football districts to the basketball districts is that Lubbock Cooper will join Lubbock High, Coronado, Monterey, Amarillo High, Amarillo Caprock, Amarillo Palo Duro, Canyon Randall and Plainview in 5A District 3.
