The Lubbock Parks and Recreation Department announced this week that there will be two dog parks opening in Lubbock soon.

One is next to Joyland in Mackenzie Park, and the other is next to Safety City in Clapp Park on University.

Here's the official announcement with park layouts as planned so far:

Both locations will have separate sections for large and small dogs, and doggie water fountains to keep your pups cool in the hot Lubbock summers. The city says that both parks are scheduled to be finished by this spring.
