Folks in Texas, and especially in Lubbock, love their trucks. But sadly, recalls do happen.

Our BFFs over at The Consumerist let us know about a recall of Toyota Tacoma trucks that could leave you stranded.

The recall affects 32,000 2016 and 2017 Toyota Tacoma trucks.

According to Toyota, the engine crankshaft timing rotor may have been produced with an excessive anti-corrosion coating. This could cause the crank position sensor to malfunction.

If this happens, the vehicle could display a Malfunction Indicator light, run roughly, misfire, or in some instances, stall.

Toyota is expected to notify customers in July of the recall and start scheduling service appointments for repairs.
