Tops in Texas: Curtis Grimes Lands First No.1 Single with ‘The Cowboy Kind’
So, I usually try to be a lil more suspenseful, but this week's headline gives it all away -- what do you want from me!? I've known Curtis for years, I'm excited for him and his band. Congrats guys! Want suspense? Here's your suspense, who has the other nine biggest songs? Let's find out.
10. Love Song -- Kevin Fowler
9. Hold on Tight -- Phil Hamilton
8. Bar Lights -- Brian Keane
7. Black and White -- JB and the Moonshine Band
6. 35 Runs Both Ways -- Cameran Nelson
5. Little Too Late -- Zane Williams
4. Small Town Love -- Casey Donahew Band
3. July in Cheyenne -- Aaron Watson
2. Hard Whiskey -- Josh Ward
1. The Cowboy Kind -- Curtis Grimes
After being the unfortunate victim of Cody Johnson's monster hit and 4-week run at No. 1 with "Dance Her Home," Grimes was still on standby last week while one of the hottest acts in Texas, Casey Donahew and "Small Town Love," snuck the top spot.
But "The Cowboy Kind," hung in there, and this week Grimes landed his very first No. 1 single. It's been a long-time comin' and well deserved. Check out our exclusive debut of Grimes' new album "Our Side of the Fence," here.
