Thomas Rhett Debuts Two New Songs Live in Concert [WATCH]
Thomas Rhett kicked off his first-ever headlining tour with a bang by debuting two brand-new songs on the very first night of the Home Team Tour. Click play on the videos above and below to watch Rhett perform the unreleased tunes for fans in Saginaw, Mich.
One of the songs that Rhett debuted during his first Home Team Tour stop, at Saginaw's Dow Event Center, is all about having fun and forgetting about love in the first place. According to YouTube user Halie, who uploaded the video above, the song is called "Love Sucks."
"Love sucks, blame it on me / Oh well, maybe I'm crazy," sings Rhett in the new track's chorus, over jazzy horns. "Who cares, I'mma turn up / Because love keeps bringing me down."
The other new tune, titled "Craving You" according to the same YouTube user, fuses country, rock and pop, and is all about the addictive nature of being in love; readers can hear it below.
"Never had something that I can't walk away from / Girl, my self-control's so paralyzed," Rhett sings. "When it comes to you, no, I ain't got no patience / There's something about you that I just can't fight."
Rhett kicked off his Home Team Tour on Feb. 23; Kelsea Ballerini, Russell Dickerson and Ryan Hurd are acting as openers for the 30-plus-city run. On opening night, Rhett pulled the trio of opening acts onstage at the end of his show for a lively rendition of Bruno Mars' "24K Magic."
