The Fourth of July is right around the corner and if you will be in Lubbock you won't want to miss out on these ten events happening this year.

Brownfield Golf Cart Parade and Firework Show - July 2nd

Brownfield’s celebration will be at Coleman Park with an opening ceremony at 5:45 p.m., followed by a golf cart parade. The festivities will include live music and a fireworks show that starts at 10 p.m.

The first one is the biggest in Lubbock and going on all day long on July 4th.

Slaton’s 4th on the Square

Slaton’s parade will begin at 9 a.m. starting at the high school (105 N 20th St, Slaton, TX 79364) on July 4th. The parade will proceed down Garza Street around the Square and up Lubbock Street to the end at the Methodist Church. After the parade, the Mr. and Miss Firecracker Pageant begins at noon.

Red, White, and MOO Milk Fest

Out in Plainview on July 4th they will be hosting their annual Red, White, and Moo event. The event will be held near at the Courthouse Lawn in downtown Plainview.

The parade route, "will begin at the Railroad Depot, head south down Ash Street, and turn east at 6th Street & Ash Street ending at Fire Station #1," at 10 a.m., as per a press release sent by the City of Plainview.

In addition to the parade, there will be music, bouncy houses, a mobile dairy classroom, a petting zoo, face painting, foam bubbles, food trucks and, to celebrate the ranching/ dairy culture of this area, free ice cream, milk, and cheese.

Shallowater Community Extravaganza

Shallowater will have a kickball tournament beginning at 9 a.m. on July 4th. The festival will continue at the community center at 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. with bounce houses, a dunk tank, food, and more.

Post Parade and Festival

The City Of Post will have a downtown parade beginning at 10 a.m., with a celebration at the park after. The festival will include vendors, a pie eating contest, hot dog eating contest and a firework show beginning at 10 p.m.

Crosby County Car Show, Parades, and More

On July 4th, The City of Crosbyton’s festivities begin with a parade at 10 a.m. with a car show immediately following. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the West Texas Collective will play live music at the gazebo.

Cornhole begins at 1 p.m. There will be a $7 brown bag special at the Prairie Ladies Multi-Cultural Center at 6:30 p.m. The funds will go towards fireworks, the city said. Fireworks will take place at dusk.

Lorenzo

The Lorenzo Senior Citizens Center will host a pancake breakfast and raffle from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for children 10 and under. It is $5 to enter the raffle for a chance to win 2 hours of family fun at Adventure Park, a gift basket from United Supermarkets and two tickets to a Texas Rangers home game. For more details, call (806) 634-5957.

Lorenzo will also host its first 4th of July classic car show from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be a $25 entry fee and prizes will be given. There will be food trucks, games from 2 to 5 p.m. and music from DJ Richard Urrutia, 1 to 10 p.m. at Lorenzo City Park.

4th on the 5th Celebration

Head on out to Wolfforth for the Annual 4th on the 5th Celebration on Friday, July 5th at Patterson Park (131 Park Rd, Wolfforth, TX 79382). There will be live music by Gary Nix and the West Texas and The 806, food trucks, vendors, and of course fireworks at dark! (Weather permitting) Bring your blankets and lawn chairs and come enjoy this family-friendly event. The event is from 6 pm to 10:30 pm.

Buffalo Springs Lake Firework Show

The Buffalo Springs firework show will be held on July 6th. You can buy wristbands to get into Buffalo Springs Lake until July 5th for presale. Lonestar 99.5 will be doing the patriotic country music for the show.
