There’s A Chance Furr’s Could Come Back To Lubbock, Here’s How You Can Help

Back in March 2022, we told you that Furr's Fresh Buffet in Lubbock was being demolished.

Furr's closed in Lubbock during the pandemic and was supposed to open once Texas lifted its mandate but it never happened. Then a year later they decided to tear it down.

Most of Lubbock lost hope that it would not come back. It was definitely loved by people here in the area and some still hold out hope they would open somewhere else.

If you are one of those people hoping and waiting I may have some good news for you.

The owners of The Escondido Grill are looking for people's thoughts on Furr's. They are gathering opinions because they "may be doing something special soon."

Within an hour the post was blowing up. Everyone commenting their favorite thing about the restaurant and what they thought.

The owners of The Escondido Grill's family actually helped grow and run Furr's. Now they want to use their recipes to do something special in Lubbock.

They are hoping to do an event where people can buy tickets beforehand and come out to try their food. They are in the early stages of making it happen.
